AI assists. You decide.
Companies use AI to filter candidates. We give candidates AI to answer back - without turning them into spam bots. This is the contract Applye is built on. Every feature is checked against it, and any feature that breaks it does not ship.
1. Augmentation, not automation
Applye will never auto-apply, auto-send, or auto-submit anything on your behalf. It scores, drafts, and suggests - then hands control back to you. No background agent quietly represents you to a recruiter. A hiring manager is a person; the relationship is yours, not a bot's.
2. Fewer, better applications
Mass-automated applications are noise - for you and for everyone else in the pile. The point of tooling is not two hundred submissions a week; it is knowing which twenty are worth your evenings, and making those twenty excellent.
3. Your data is yours
The job search is intimate data: where you applied, what you earn, what you were rejected from. It lives in a local database on your machine - not on our servers, because we do not have servers. No account, no telemetry, no sync. Nothing leaves the device unless you trigger it.
4. Honesty over inflation
Applye tailors your real experience to the role's language. It does not invent titles, skills, or years. A CV that gets you an interview you cannot survive is not a win; it is a wasted afternoon for two people.
5. Pay for judgement, not busywork
AI is a scarce, paid resource. Everything that can be deterministic code is deterministic code, runs offline, and costs zero tokens. Models are called only where judgement is genuinely needed, only when you click, and always with your own keys. A real job search should cost cents, not a subscription.
6. Open source, forever
MIT-licensed, developed in the open, free with no paid tier. Trust in a tool that reads your CV should not be a promise; it should be verifiable in the code.
